I accidentally deposited 60k on FP Markets instead of 6k, it was a simple misclick, however withdrawing the extra money has been a nightmare.
After I realized my error I didn't open any trades, just made a withdrawal request and contacted customer support for help. Customer support assured me my withdrawal would be processed within one business day, however it has been longer than one business day and instead of returning my money via the same method I used to deposit it, they requested source of funds.
I feel like this is an invasion of my privacy and unnecessary as I never attempted to trade with the deposited money, however I complied and instantly sent FP Markets my source of funds.
Since then I haven't heard back from the compliance department and when I ask to speak to my account manager I'm told she is on break, or will call me as soon as she is available, but no call ever calls.
So the summary of my complaint is, they refuse to send me my money, refuse to call me and refuse to reply regarding my source of funds.
The customer support people are extremely polite and professional, but they just never seem to be able to get the account manager to make a 5 minute phone call with me.
As soon as I receive my money, I will change my rating from one star to five stars and change my review. Currently I rated them one star because of the hassle and difficulty in retrieving my own funds.
At the moment having 54k stuck there makes me feel extremely vulnerable. Imagine you deposited money into the bank and couldn't withdraw it? This has been an ordeal which I pray will be over soon.
