I attached my proof of address that triggered IB asked for. I had uploaded it numerous times as a jpg file that was more than 5mb. Nobody at IB ever told me I had to upload a pdf downloaded directly from the Swedbank website. On a support call for the case I took the selfie and uploaded my Latvian residence card. I'm a US citizen with permanent residence in Latvia. The agent failed to tell me that I had to remove my glasses and remove headphones. So IB rejected my ID verification, creating a problem that didn't exist before my support call. Abysmal and incompetent service that's gone way downhill since I started with IB since I opened my account nearly 20 years ago So, now I can't log in except with a temporary password. This created a new case: 877701. I've had 3 support calls with IB since early last week, each lasting more than 1 hour. Each time I was promised a call back that never came. Rest assured, I will report this case to the regulator in Brussels.
