No.1: Daytrading, where everybody knows most traders lose money. In this case Interactive Brokers make it so easy for you to put your money in and lose it all if you may, they don't stand in your way. 5 stars for that.
No.2: One of my clients pays me in stocks. So at some point I do need to trade them. Well, they restricted my account from being able to execute contracts with my employer because there's additional regulation. I totally understand and respect that. But the problem is, even after I supplied all statements and documents and proved the compliance with all regulations, Interactive Brokers is taking HUGE amount of time to respond and allow me to trade.
While I'm treated as an "insider" in relationship with the issuing company, I'm only allowed to trade in a short window of time. Their responding times takes over 4 weeks in general. I waited 1 month for receiving a reply last time.
So Bottom line, if you want to lose money IBKR will help you, but if you want to sell stocks and withdraw money, IBKR will make it an absolute nightmare for you, treating you without respect and make your experience absolutely miserable...
