I had an active brokerage account with IBKR and tried to move my self-directed Roth and Traditional IRAs from another broker to IBKR. They rejected both applications with no clear explanation.

When I filed a good-faith complaint with FINRA and the SEC to find out why, IBKR retaliated by shutting down my main brokerage account and blocking me from using other brokers that clear through IBKR — so they do the blocking behind the scenes.

To this day, IBKR cowardly refuses to give any real explanation for their retaliation, even though I’ve asked repeatedly and have an open FINRA case (#164093245298).

I do not want damages or to leave IBKR — I simply want to keep using my brokerage account and be allowed to open IRAs and use other brokers fairly, without IBKR quietly blacklisting me or influencing others to do it for them.

I’m still hoping they’ll choose transparency and do the right thing for a small retail client.
