I went to collect my order on my selected date to find my collection store unexpectedly closed with nothing but a short handwritten note on the door. I had gone to pick up my order towards the end of the day after work and had not received any notification from Travelex or the collection store regarding this closure to be able to plan an alternative option. I immediately contacted the Travellex Customer Service who advised they would not be able to find a resolution given the late time in the day, but they advised me to contact them again first thing the next morning as they would likely be able to have my order available for pick up at a different collection store tomorrow as I advised I would not be able to return to my selected store the following day given I work. Additionally, there was also no guarantee the collection store would be open. So I did this the next morning just to be informed that there was no record of my previous call and they had nil notification of the collection point’s closure so they would not make my order available at another collection point. They asked ME to provide evidence that THEIR partnering collection point was closed. I was unable to do this and I was not informed this was necessary when I had contacted them the day prior when I was literally outside the closed store and would’ve been able to take a photo. Hence, they told me they were unable to help me and the worker I spoke to was not willing to provide me with any other options and did not seem to care much that I was going to be unable to collect my order before my travel. The whole situation caused me a lot of stress and impacted my work when it was Travellex that failed to provide an available collection point. I will not be using Travellex again in the future because of this experience and hope they improve their customer service for future customers.
